It’s hard to put into words just what we saw and felt tonight. It was emotional and intense. I’m sure more than a few people were reduced to tears… it was that moving! That dramatic! At times the building shook, it was as if the planets aligned and stars collided! For those of you who missed it, I feel sad for you. And for those of you still to see them… buckle up and enjoy the ride !!!

Thank you sooo much for coming to our little town. You have enriched our lives… of which you’ll always be the soundtrack. Much love.

What a great great great show last night. One of the best concerts I have ever been to. A perfect blend of visual and sound. The music was at a level that my mind could hardly comprehend, it was that beautiful. I wish I could go to all the concerts on the tour. Thank-you for coming to Ottawa.

Beautiful music from a distant, evolved planet!

This show had it all: exquisite sound, lighting, visuals and performance. Best of luck on the rest of your hectic tour – Jonsi, take care of that golden voice!

What an unreal, beautiful show, I’m not afraid to admit that the music brought tears to my eyes on more than one occasion. The visuals, sounds and atmosphere all came together to make it feel like one huge art work that everyone was apart of. The thought of Jonsi’s voice still gives me chills just as amazing live as he is recorded!

Me and my two sons – 3 huge, long-time fans! – saw you in Ottawa Friday. The whole show was unreal, but I especially appreciated hearing KVEIKUR and BRENNISTEINN which I’d played non-stop the week before the show (Thank you for posting at http://www.sigur-ros.co.uk/ and for the EP that came with the tickets). You have really outdone yourselves. Again. We miss Kjartan, but you have not let that stop you with your latest reinvention, I’m amazed. All the musicians were incredible at the show. It was indeed a “volcanic” show – Takk!

Before anything else, the sound crew must be recognized for an amazing sound mix on this night. This was the best sound I’ve heard at Scotia Bank Place ever and one of the best mixed concerts I’ve ever experienced. A couple of interesting things about the sound: first of all, the band and crew showed respect for the audience by not blowing us out with volume all night long. I usually wear plugs at shows and didn’t tonight. The sound was powerful and overwhelming when it needed to be for a few numbers and not all night long. Secondly, the mix was fantastic: you could hear the horns, the strings, the different percussive instruments and of course Jonsi’s awesome voice all night long. Far too often, bass and drums drown out everything else in a mix but not on this night. Takk to the whole crew!

Takk to the band and management for including Ottawa on your tour this time around. Perhaps the groundwork done by Ottawa music promoter Shawn Scallen stuck with you when he brought you to town many years ago. Lots of major/growing acts skip our town so thanks for remembering us and bringing your amazing show here.

This was my fourth Sigur Ros concert and by far the best – perhaps owing to the smaller configuration of the venue – it felt more intimate. Saw the show in Montreal on Wednesday night and it was amazing but the Ottawa show was better. The band seemed more together through the entire evening while in Montreal it seemed to come together about 30-40 minutes into the show Perhaps the day of rest on Thursday did everyone well and we in Ottawa benefitted from it.

New songs sounded truly amazing. Looking forward to the new album. Come back to our town again please. And Jonsi, come here if you do another solo tour – bring that mind blowing show to the NAC if you can. We will come to see it!

Thank you so much for not overlooking Ottawa on your tour. It was an absolute delight to have you in this city. It was a beautiful and cathartic show, as always. The sound was a bit muddy especially during the first half of the show, at least where I was sitting off on the side, but I guess you can’t expect much from a stadium. It is so heartening to see that you are still together and making beautiful music after all these years as a band. I hope that you will continue to be a presence in the musical world for many years to come, as your music brings so much to the lives of many people. Thank you for touring through Ontario again and please come back soon.

I have seen you back in 2006 at the Bronson Center ( it was sooo hot in there!). That was the best concert I have ever seen in my life. But you guys managed to recreate the same intimacy at the Scotiabank… I just couldn’t believe it!
