Please include Winnipeg (or Gimli) on your next tour! Thank you
Amazing!! It was such a coincidence because I’d just planned to go to Toronto when I heard about their concert. I’m from Brazil, I don’t know when you’ll come here, but I’m sure I’ll be at your concert again.
Such a wonderful band. Wasted on a greasy venue. Next time will be better…again
You and I must have been separated at birth! I too have been going to concerts for almost 40 years. I was standing just to the right of the soundboard and it was just as bad.People all around were talking and giggling like 10 year old girls at a pyjama party. Then a gang of loud drunken louts showed up near the end. Some of them even had their backs to the stage during Popplagio!
Sigur Ros your performance was fantastic but guys next time play Massey Hall as others have suggested and sell the tickets through your website. I would pay triple if it were a fans only show.
I wanted to post this review the day I got home, but I held back because I though I was the only one who felt the way I do about the show… now in reading more reviews I and glad to say I am not alone. So here it goes!
I flew in from Calgary just to see the show. I have loved Sigur Ros for 14 years now. The band and music its self was obviously amazing! I have to say the venue for this concert was the biggest let down. Soooooo not appropriate for SR’s music and die hard SR fans. I feel you need a smaller intimate theater to really let the music surround you and move through you otherwise its about as good as sitting at home listen to their music which is still great but not always spine tingling. I saw Jonsi in Vancouver on his tour… NOW THAT WAS A SHOW! I had goose bumps, pins and needles, tears and everything I expected to feel in seeing him live. Echo beach was a huge let down due to the kinda sorta fans and the “I just came cuz my friend had an extra ticket” in attendance who just talked and walked around drinking and throwing beer cans everywhere – it really took away from the experience. Sadly I now see one benefit to why concert tickets now cost so much – to keep people who are not really wanting to see the concert from attending. I logged on at 10am the day tickets were released and tried to get tickets to the Seattle show for almost and hour but they were sold out ☹ so Echo beach was my back up… and that is just what it was… 2nd place. SR you are hands down my fav. band and you could play this venue again and I would go because I love you that much… but PLEASE pick a better venue next time and I will gladly pay 10 times as much to see you without all the distraction.
Thanks , I have recently been looking for information
approximately this topic for a long time and yours is the greatest I have found out so far.
However, what concerning the conclusion? Are you positive in
regards to the supply?
