last thursday i believe i witnessed the most incredible concert. the venue was rather small, which only added to the show. amina's set was really great. they were all so adorable! it was fun to watch them play because you could tell they were having a good time. it was nice to see them switch instruments so often. the last song they played, which sounded like an 80's pop song, was a lot of fun for the crowd, and for them as well it seemed. i'm sure that after the show, everyone wanted to dig around their garage for a saw to play(i myself, included). their standing ovation was well deserved. :)

after 15-20 minutes, sigur ros took the stage, and i was blown away. it felt like everyone was in a small room watching them play. the highlight had to have been hafsol. such an amazing song, especially live. they got a standing ovation, which, once again, was well deserved. heysatan was another highlight which actually blew hafsol out of the water. sitting in a circle with a yellow light casting on them; it was wonderful. the band looked like they really enjoyed playing it, which made watching them all the better. the silence towards the end was the most moving, because the entire theatre was silent. there was an occasional beer bottle rolling, but i believe that it was not intentional. there's a spine-tingling feeling when that many people are completely quiet, enraptured by the music. it was hard not to shed a few tears after that one.

once the concert ended i was uttering "amazing" countless times; there was simple nothing else to say. i was contemplating whether or not to wait for the band once outside. i decided not to because it was raining, and i had to wake up at sunrise the next morning. yes, of all my luck, they were out after 45 minutes. i could have kicked myself, but, the concert makes up for it. all in all, it was an amazing concert(as always), i certainly enjoyed myself. hopefully they will play at the taft again the next go around; it was a great venue!
