vaka and nothing song were quiet and beautiful. i believe i saw a fifth musician on
stage during vaka, playing the keyboards. ny batteri had an extended intro and was
breath-taking. lagid i gaer woke they place up with the drums coming in so loudly
after the quiet intro. olsen olsen was very well received. fyrsta and samskipti were
interesting to hear live.
samskipti was much shorter than versions i heard before. the first notes of svefn
were great to hear and they delivered a perfect version. the crowd roared after jonsi
was done with his singing into the guitar part. death song and pop song were the absolute
best 2 songs of the night. they build up so well and are so beautiful. pop song is
stunning. during the last three songs the drum techs had to come on stage repeatedly
to put the kick drum back in place. the four guys came back on stage to take their
bows and avalon came on over the pa. breath-taking show. 1hr 40 min total.
