i wanted to let you know how the toronto show at massey hall last night went....i
can't give you a run-down of what they played because most of it i have never heard
before...they played a few off of agaetis though.
the experience is indescribable. the albums don't do them justice, especially jonsi's voice. massey hall has beautiful acoustics that worked incredibly with the music, filling everything.
i still can't say it enough...never in my life have i experienced something like last night. it was breathtaking, like viewing the grand canyons or taj mahal except better, because you were a part of the experience by being the audience.
everything was absolutely perfect.

i just went and saw sigur ros in toronto, it was such a unique show. when they came
onstage after the initial cheers the crowd went silent for the 3 to 4 minutes the
band was on stage setting up their equiptment to play...as was the story for the rest
of the show between songs...the orchestra was missing but that did not make much of
a difference. playin alot of songs many don't know...i heard lots of ppl as we left
mention they knew very few songs...anyways the show was aaaaaammmmmmaaaaaaaaaaazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i didn't know much about the band, but my buddy was really into them so i figured
what the hell. they blew me away, right from the beginning, they had a aura about
them that grabbed the audience. they played massey hall, a venue with a few thousand
seats, they didn't fill them all but those in attendance were amazed, two straight
hours, no break, just musical mist. they finished off first with svefn g englar and
then a song i didn't recognize, neither did the crowd, but needless to say it was
the hardest of the night, it woke me from a trance that i thought i wouldn't leave.
they recieved two standing ovations from the crowd, no one was disappointed. the light
show was basic but erie. make no mistake about it, when these guys get publicity in
north america, they're gonna be huge, let's hope that they can open the minds of a
musicaly ignorant generation.
