Orri got hurt in the second concert
Hi.
I was present in their second concert, June 7 Tepoztlan México.
The place was beautiful, between mountains and green everywhere.
Anyway, is time to Sigur Ros to play an close the event and they start with a huge welcome by everyone.
But something went wrong, by the end of the 3rd song (Glósóli) Orri was clearly having a severe pain.
He did manage to end the song but as soon as it was over he ran off the stage.
The band continued playing but everyone knew something was wrong, specially if they were playing with out drums.
You can see that the band was worried.
Maybe 40 minutes passed before Jónsi announced that they were going to play 3 more songs ( at the end they play 4) because Orri could not play any
more.
They played 1 known song and 3 new ones ( I might be wrong with the last song)
All of them beautiful.
I gotta say that the " la la la" song might no be the best one to hear regularly but for concerts is perfect and the pictures show it. And a guy
from the band from Iceland that tours with them took the place of Orri only for that song.
I believe Orri will be fine, hopefully is not severe.
The concert was bitter and sweet.
By one I was able to see them (Thing that I only imagined be possible if I flew to Iceland) and the second, because Orri got hurt and the show was
shortened because of it (And of course, understandable)
Even so, I am happy with the sow.
I only hope they come back.

I am so sad, i hope it"s not a tendinitis or so, because without Orri
is"s no SR and no Tour.

Get well soon Orri.
Met his wife once. She was lovely, selling merch at the Brixton Accademy show. She was too beautiful, and had too many shiny things that were obv.
handmade; so I walked away...
And those drums on Glosoli are sensational. Again - fingers crossed it's not a big deal...

As a drummer, I can say its definitely not. Its no harder than Untitled#8 or Hafsól at its fastest. Might even be easier than them.

Yeah - my guess would fall on drinking the water in Mexico. It's easier than you think: The food you eat is prepped in water, you wash your hands,
you order water at a restaurant and forget to ask for it in a bottle. So many ways to come in contact with the water and then get sick as hell. Hope
that is all it is.

I really don't like those comments about Mexico (but whatever you ppl).
It wasn't the water (and the only way you could drink water there was in bottle).
He got hurt while playing, Jónsi said that himself.
And yes, it was confetti, only for the "la la la" song and it was great, very fitting for the song and made a really good effect when the confetti
reflected the light.
By the way Silvana, I know that you are very found of Sigur and that you couldn't come the the concert because you live in
Argentina. Would you like me to send all the pictures I took of Sigur playing to your email account?

AonHagen, I think that they are just kidding with those comments about Mexico. If not, we should not really care because we know what is going on
here. One of the ten most visited countries in the world. It must be for something :) And what happened to Orri? It was not a stomach-ache because at
the end of Glòsoli he grabbed his left elbow and fell over the stage. Well, that`s what I saw.
By the way, there were several people from Central and South America in that concert. It was a shame it went wrong.

Hi, could you send them to me too?? I was at Tepoztlán yesterday, and despite the terrible organization (for those of you who didn't went, I, and
another 6,000 people had to walk for about a couple of hours in the middle of the night to get to our buses...dreadful), but it was all worth it just
because we had just seen Sigur Rós :)).

I hope he's feeling well now. he better take as much time as he needs to heal. even if that means they'll have to get a temporary replacement for
the rest of the summer tour.
does anybody know if this was the reason they decide to cancel that other concert down there in Mexico?
there can be no understanding between the hand and the brain unless the heart acts as mediator.
