“thank you for the days”

it’s only been 20 days since our somewhat shambolic debut here. and our feet have barely touched the ground in that time. and if we’re quite honest, it took us two weeks to re-connect all our equipment at home. but back we are, and we’re still glowing from april 24th, so thanks again to everyone who came along and made the evening a joy to do.

you may or may not have noticed, that we finally have a website up and what a grand job the firm have done with www.breakingheartsforfun.co.uk - there are photos and last month’s playlist and a lovely little map. and most impressively, the opportunity to mail bhff headquarters with your song requests. get them in early and we’ll do our very best.

“t-shirt weather”

we’ve now got a long break before bhff III. june 26th will see us roll back into town, at the height of summer and in the midst of euro 2004. it is a quarter-final night, so come and watch the game in the canterbury and we’ll kick off the evening with world in motion.

“lost and found”

did you leave the last bhff with someone else’s bag? are you now missing your 1978 publication of men only? and, who had it away with my life without buildings cd? in the absence of a cloak room, i find it best to abide by london underground’s words of wisdom and check that you have all your personal belongings before leaving the train. any problems, see the boys on the door and we’ll send out a search party.

“time for heroes”

last weekend turned nobodies to legends. alex rhodes, glynn hurst, adam boyd, david graham and chris carr all took the step into folklore. if anyone, can tell the paperboy why they made the hairs on the neck tingle, they’re welcome to a free choc dip.
