“good things start on napkins”

my friend told me that as the boys arranged a meeting to discuss things. trouble was that the dingy holborn pub we found ourselves in didn’t have any napkins. it didn’t even have any lager on tap. and hell, between us, we didn’t have a single pen.

but we did have a lot of ideas, a lot of passion and a good record collection.

inspiration came in the form of experience. tonight is about every time we lived the dream at ‘offbeat’ in sheffield, every time we got a kick out of glasgow and it’s ‘national pop league’ and every time we glided back across london town following a ‘how does it feel’ or a ‘track and field’. we wouldn’t, and couldn’t, have done it without nights like these.

“back with a bang”

…breaking hearts for fun II will take place on friday, may 14. make it a fixture in your diary. usual terms apply.

“bhff online”

it seems, bhff over-estimated its technical talents somewhat and subsequently things have been a bit on the slow side at www.breakingheartsforfun.co.uk. but we’ve hired some guys with glasses to help us out and we hope to be up and running in the aftermath of this evening. to join the mailing list, see the paperboy on the door.

“and finally”

naturally, there are a thousand people to thank. however, font size and space won’t allow it, so thriftiness is the order. multiple thankyous alone to john, for the heartfelt advice and handheld equipment, and also to chloe, for being bhff‘s artistic ind also to chloe, for being bhff‘s artistic integrity and glamorous side. cheers to a.t for the knowledge, j.s for the muscles, and d.w and g.w for the remarks. and of course, thank you to everyone who has come tonight who we didn’t beg to do so. we hope you have fun.

keep the faith.
